As you may already know, Tabula Rasa Global LLC is a management company which will be managing the subsidiaries of Tabula Rasa Global Corporation. I will be making a plethora of blog posts to better explain the process of becoming part of Tabula Rasa Global LLC. What Are Dividend Yield Stocks?

A dividend is a distribution of a portion of a company's earnings, decided by its board of directors, to its shareholders. When a company pays dividends, it typically does so on a regular schedule, such as quarterly, semi-annually, or annually.

A dividend yield stock is simply the stock of a company that pays dividends. Investors often focus on the "yield" as a key metric, which indicates the return on investment generated by the dividend payments relative to the stock's price.

Food for Thought:

Imagine if you owned a million dollars worth of dividend yield stocks and the average dividend yield of these stocks is 10% paid out annually. You would then receive a dividend income of $100,000 for the first year of owning the dividend stocks. If you choose to reinvest the dividend, you would get 10% of $1,100,000 which is $110,000 of dividend income for the second year. Furthermore, the third year's dividend income equals $121,000.
