Mandatory Cannabis Blog Post

Uncategorized

Hello, it has been a long while….  Hope everyone has been well.

Since my last post, I’ve run into some interesting information regarding cannabis and cancer.  Check out the amazing compilation of [50 cannabis and cancer studies published in 2026] recently put together by Anthony Martinelli at The Marijuana Herald (major props to him for cataloging [over 400 total cannabis studies]).

In essence, the research highlights cannabis’s promising anti-cancer effects and its ability to help address the disease alongside traditional treatments like chemotherapy.  I actually know someone from high school who was diagnosed with cancer several years ago.  He used marijuana alongside chemotherapy, and he is now a cancer-survivor.

The recent rescheduling of cannabis should pave way for more research.  Fun fact: the DEA has officially confirmed in an updated report that [there are no recorded deaths from marijuana overdose].

The two main components of cannabis: delta-9-THC and CBD are both FDA approved.  Marinol is the FDA approved synthetic form of delta-9-THC and Epidiolex is the FDA approved prescription medication for CBD.  However, the FDA still considers the cannabis plant as an unapproved botanical.
